Hours per week: 5 to 15 hours/week, with occasional weekend work available
Wage: $17.00 to 20.00
Work Location: 242 Beaver Bank Road, Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia

Required:
• Physically fit and enjoy being physically active

• Able to record basic information including inventory levels
• Safety conscious and able to follow instructions
• Be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must provide own steel-toed safety boots and work gloves
• No smoking or strongly scented products allowed in our vehicles, on our work site, or in company buildings
Job Description - assist with:
• Cleaning and organizing office and workspaces
• Keeping tools, parts and supplies organized
• Keeping the inside of the trucks and equipment kept clean and ensuring that appropriate tools are in the vehicles
• Maintaining our inventory of consumables, oils, antifreeze, hydraulic, DEF, grease, etc.
• Keeping the storage containers for these products/tools clean and organized.
• Collecting any waste oil, contaminated rags or contaminated sawdust etc. and ensuring they are safely stored and eventually disposed of.
• Emptying the garbage cans and ensuring they are put out every 2 weeks
Once the basics are under control the following tasks can be added - Assist with:
• Develop a knowledge of the tools, parts and supplies we use and take on responsibility of ordering/maintaining them
• The setting up of a 5S system for our tools, parts and supplies
• Pick areas of the operation/yard and develop a plan to clean it up and make it more functional
Note: The work site is at 242 Beaver Bank Road, with the home based office at 20 Maplewood Court, both in Beaver Bank. While the bus comes within walking distance of our site the office is over 1 km from the nearest bus stop.
